Ford Focus RS - Speed bumps causing bad vibration

One fine day i was trying to get into an parking garage where i have been already. Apparently speed bumps were installed. As i drove over them with about 5-10 km/h a loud scratching sound was heard. I knew it then and there, that was a hard hit and something felt off. As you can just drive down the garage with the clutch in, i did not notice what happened. After getting out, i quickly had a look but saw no damage. A quick glance at said speed bumps revealed that i was not the only one hitting it that badly. In combination with the slope there, they seem to be to high.

Upon my return, a second check showed no oil or other liquid on the ground. At least that. Sadly after starting the motor i did immediately notice, that the sound of the exhausts were louder and more vibration could be felt. Combined with the fact that i now was hearing turbo whistling much more loud led me to believe that something with the exhaust system was damaged.

Later that day i had a look and found, that an strut had bent badly.

Sadly, it was somewhat clear that this strut has deformed so much that it was now touching the mounting of the flex pipe.

I was however a bit revealed after finding that. Trying to get this piece into the right shape was impossible though. So, after many hours searching for the correct part, i was finally getting the correct part number: 1905109. Sadly here in Switzerland you have to go to a ford dealer to get replacement. After some back and forth they provided me the part for about 95 swiss francs.

You can clearly see the dent here. I did also spray the part with some rust prevention paint.

To remove and install the part, you have to remove the fabric side covers via the screws. Just turn the plastic nobs.

After installing the part, nothing was touching. A quick start of the motor reliefd me. Finally no more bad vibration and sadly also no loud exhaust anymore. But, the turbo whistling was gone also.
